Bio for Thomas Noel Smith
Thomas grew up as an “army brat”. He lived in France and Germany as well as several different states. No one place was home for more than 3 years at a time. His interest in the arts developed at an early age. Even as a child, performing was a part of him.
He began his career as a magician. Later, he attended Ringling Brothers Clown College, and he travelled for two years with a small, one ring circus as a professional clown.
He has also worked as a folk singer, and sometimes he still performs.
Thomas received a B.A. from the University of Tampa in English and an M.A. in Theatre from Chicago College of Performing Arts. He taught theatre in the public schools and directed several productions. However, after five years of teaching Thomas decided it was time to get back into the business.
Films are Thomas Noel Smith’s area of concentration and he has appeared in several independent films. He was also worked on “Dr. G Medical Examiner.” His professional resume also includes experience in professional theatre.
His other interests include writing. He has written several short stories and he is a published poet.
Thomas is of Irish descent. He has an interest visiting Ireland one day to see the land of his ancestors. He is currently studying the Gaelic (Irish) language. Thomas is a widower, so all his efforts these days are directed toward his developing his artistic crafts and skills.
